There are various activities that you can do in FRIM like camping, team-building activities, visiting Botanical Garden and Malaysian traditional houses, trekking to the nature rivers, waterfalls, walking over the canopy walkway, etc.
We decided to trek to the waterfalls, Sungai Kpoh and went further to the stream deep inside the jungle. From the entrance, you walk around 20 minutes to reach the small waterfall. On the way, you may pass some interesting spots like Malaysian traditional houses, team-building area, etc. The FRIM is usually very crowded, especially at the weekend, so to avoid it, you would want to trek on weekdays or go deep inside the jungle and enjoy the picnic. We had a picnic right at the fall which is really fresh and pure.
FRIM is suitable for your run-away weekend, you can spend you day here for jogging, camping, riding a bike around, or simple for breathing the fresh air. Renting a bike would be a great recommendation, the rental fee is RM10 or you can also book for a 60 -90 minutes eco-tour around FRIM. You can check out the FRIM official website for more information and activities in detail.
